Over the past 3.5 years, Mary has become an integral part of the team, balancing diverse responsibilities such as account management, payroll, HR, benefits, and billing. When asked about her day-to-day work, Mary chuckled and shared, “Ha! LOTS… There’s never a dull moment, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!” Her multifaceted role underscores her ability to handle complexity with grace and efficiency, ensuring that clients and team members alike are supported every step of the way.

Mary’s commitment to clients is evident in every interaction, but one story stands out as her proudest moment. While a client was on vacation, they became incapacitated and were hospitalized far from home. The hospital’s patient advocate resisted efforts to arrange transportation to a facility closer to the client’s family. “Our PHC (Personal Healthcare Champions) stepped in, contacted the hospital near the client’s home, worked with the insurance carrier, and made the transfer happen,” Mary shared. “It was incredibly rewarding to know we could make such a meaningful impact during a stressful time for this family.” This moment captures Mary’s dedication to ensuring HealthLock’s clients feel supported, no matter the circumstance.

When asked what motivates her, Mary’s answer was simple yet profound: “Helping others.” Whether navigating the intricacies of benefits or addressing clients’ urgent needs, Mary’s drive stems from her passion for making a difference. Mary’s life outside of HealthLock is as vibrant as her professional one. She recently moved with her husband—a man our Chief Operating Office, Jeanine lovingly calls “a unicorn” for his wonderful qualities—and their five dogs, five horses, and three cats to a serene 50-acre property near the Tennessee/Alabama border. “It’s rural, it’s peaceful, and we’re absolutely in love with it,” Mary said. Her love for family, friends, and animals shapes her worldview, grounding her in what she describes as “God’s country.” Growing up in a family of seven siblings (five girls, two boys), Mary learned the value of community and connection early in life, lessons she brings to her work every day.
